Reflection

This was easily my favorite paper to write. Ever.

The style of writing in this paper was so natural that the word count was the last thing on my mind. Before writing this paper, I was actually going on a bunch random tangents on facebook and it got me all fired up to write this paper -- as it was perfectly timely.

My mom was in Syria and the Muslim ban had been placed, so my fingers were just on fire (lol).

Personal narratives are highly overlooked while we are younger and after writing this paper, I came to realize how important they are. The purpose for writing is all up to you and it helps you find your true voice, not the "polished essay voice".

I had a few people read this essay and they really reading it. I got a lot of commentary saying "wow I didn't know you felt that way inside. I am so sorry," and a "this paragraph actually took my breath away."

I changed my topic after conference week, so I only had a rough draft for class peer review. Then, that draft turned into the final draft.
